2018 Montana All Hazard Emergency and Response Plans Negotiated Rulemaking Committee Nominations-Application

Nominations/Applications Survey to serve on the Montana All Hazard Emergency and Response Plans Negotiated Rulemaking Committee:

The Office of Public Instruction (OPI) is seeking nominations/applications for participants in the negotiated rulemaking process to amend ARM 10.55.701 standards of accreditation regarding all hazard emergency and response plans, and to consult on the preparation of an economic impact statement.

The OPI seeks individuals likely to be significantly affected by the proposed rule amendment, including individuals from the following groups: school district trustees, K-12 school administrators, K-12 teachers and counselors, school clerks/business officials and IT personnel, nurses and special education service providers, parents, taxpayers, law enforcement, and county/state disaster and emergency service coordinators. 

To nominate a participant or apply for participation, fully complete the survey below. Nominations/Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018.

Members of the committee will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • cultural diversity
  • geographic location
  • emergency operations and planning experience
  • district and school size
  • grade levels served

Selected applicants of the negotiated rulemaking committee will be notified at the email address provided by Friday, June 29, 2018. The committee will convene the first meeting in August (2018). Teleconference and email correspondence will be used as much as possible to facilitate full committee participation at all meetings.

Completed nominations/applications for membership on the committee are due to Linda Vrooman Peterson no later than 5 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018.
